So delicious + dumb affordable. Some of the best Mac and cheese I've had from a restaurant. Great portions + flavorful food. Even though Pattie Hut is on Google Maps, I feel like true New Yorkers know this spot. Service is relatively quick when I've been, and there's places to sit.
The food is amazing. They have the best beef patties, and their oxtail is on point it smells so good. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. If you haven't gone there you're missing out.
Incredible food, amazing staff, very homie ambiance. Cassandra helped me and it was my first time ever having this cuisine and it was awesome! She gave amazing suggestions and I really appreciate the help and friendly customer service from her. Highly recommend this to anyone and will be taking another 30 min train ride just to have this food again!
Always get my Caribbean and West Indian fix from here. Love getting their food to go. Medium size keeps me super full. Macaroni salad is delish. Satisfying and will keep returning back.
Stumbled upon this little gem as it is a reasonable walk from Barclays Center. My fiancé was craving some jerk chicken before the train ride home, and Pattie Hut & Grill caught his eye. I told him I could wait til we got home to eat anything but I'd maybe have just a little bite of his food. Pattie Hut & Grill is a small takeout place with some seating by the entrance. Prices are good, especially by city standards. For the price, portion sizes are very reasonable. We only encountered the one employee behind the counter, and he was courteous. He asked my fiancé what sauce he wanted on the rice and beans, and my fiancé asked him to give the most popular sauce they have. He gave us the oxtail sauce, and...it was delicious! Gave the rice a bit of a kick. The food was consumed on the LIRR's Platform B. And by "consumed," I mean devoured. By my fiancé and yours truly. So I ended up having a lot more than "just a little bite" and here, 3 hours later as I lounge at home, my stomach is still satisfied. I might have to pass on another bite of anything for at least another hour or so.
Please allow me to testify The jerk pork is seasoned & prepared perfectly. The mac n cheese came in a very appetizing section and blended particularly well with the oxtail gravy. Plantains were a touch dry but rescued by the gravy and still delicious. 10/10 plate, will be back with friends to try more of the menu!
Best Jamaican restaurant in Crown Heights! The staff is friendly and serve generous portion. You can't go wrong with ordering oxtail with rice and peas, curry goat, or stew peas. The soups are sooooo good!! The Rasta Pasta is delicious! I always take some of their fresh juices home too.
Delicious patties! Definitely need to come back and try out more of the menu!!!!!!!!!!
We were actually going to try a different place but they were out of a lot of things (it was dinner time) so we decided to try this place out. They still had a lot of dishes except for plantain. I tried the jerk chicken, goat curry, rice and peas and cabbage. They ask if you want sauce on your rice and I did but it seems like I really didn't get any. Big portions. Jerk chicken was oh so tasty but a little dry. The goat curry was tender and good but I preferred the jerk chicken. Satisfied our craving for Jamaican food.
